As we approach the end of another transformative year, I am filled with a profound sense of gratitude and pride for the remarkable accomplishments we have achieved together as a community!

It is an honor to extend my heartfelt appreciation to each and every one of you who has played a crucial role in shaping the success story of Bay City and Bay County, Michigan. Thank you!

Throughout this year, Bay Future, Inc. has remained steadfast in its commitment to fostering economic development and creating a thriving environment for businesses, both large and small. In the face of challenges, our community has continued to demonstrate resilience, adaptability, and an unwavering spirit that has allowed us to overcome obstacles and emerge stronger.

We have witnessed incredible growth in various sectors, thanks to the collaborative efforts of our dedicated partners, local businesses, and the hardworking individuals who call Bay County home. This year we have attracted new investments of more than $325 Million, supported the expansion and attraction of existing enterprises, and laid the groundwork for a sustainable and prosperous future.

Our commitment to innovation and inclusivity has been a driving force behind the initiatives that have propelled Bay County onto the regional and national stage. Whether it be advancements in technology, the development of a skilled workforce, or the creation of a supportive business ecosystem, our collective efforts have positioned Bay County as a beacon of opportunity and growth.

As we look ahead to the coming year, I am optimistic about the opportunities that are before us. Bay Future, Inc. remains dedicated to serving as a catalyst for positive change, advocating for economic vitality, and fostering efforts in a community that empowers individuals and businesses to thrive.

Vantage Plastics Receives Credits For Investment and Rehabilitation Efforts in Bangor Township, MI

Vantage Plastics, a family-owned and operated custom thermoforming company, received $6.5 million in New Markets Tax Credit (NMTC) allocation from Michigan Community Capital (MCC).

This allocation will be utilized for the purchase and installation of equipment in the newly purchased and renovated building in Bay City, Michigan. The 325,000-square-foot manufacturing and warehouse facility will house equipment for injection molding, extrusion, and thermoforming machines needed to expand production capacity and meet demand.

Two Bay County Businesses Awarded Optimize Main Street Grant

Two Bay County businesses were awarded funds from Optimize Main Street.

Optimize Main Street is a program designed to support place-based businesses located in eligible Michigan communities, by providing technology-related technical assistance and grant funding.

Bay Future was able to nominate Renue Physical Therapy and Aviator Cookie due to participation in the Initiate Business Retention Training.

“While we are still working through a few small kinks,” said Kate O’Shea, Marketing Director at Renue Physical Therapy. “We are thrilled with how it turned out and are grateful to Bay Future for the grant funds that were helpful in getting the new website started.”
