President & CEO’s Message

U.S. Trade Representative Katherine Tai and South Korea’s Trade Minister Yeo Han-koo commemorated the 10th anniversary of the U.S.-Korea Free Trade Agreement (KORUS) with a visit to SK Siltron CSS, a U.S. subsidiary of South Korea’s SK Group last month. The visit also recognized the expansion of SK Siltron CSS’ Michigan operations that will support the fast-growing electric vehicle industry.

We were honored to be a part of this event, along with some of our local leadership (pictured below). You can read more about this event here.

In two weeks, at our Annual Meeting (rsvp here), we’ll have the opportunity to discuss the continued growth of SK Siltron CSS in Bay County as part of a panel with Michigan Sugar leadership and Wilkinson Minerals leadership.

We’re looking forward to celebrating these investments and sharing more about what the future of these companies looks like in Bay County. Please join us in celebration!

Feet on the Street Returns in 2022!
Seasonal Outdoor Guide for Bay City

The City of Bay City prepared a guide containing rules and regulations for outdoor spaces for all businesses desiring to set up sidewalk cafés, making these spaces more dynamic places to walk, socialize, dine and to create an area that is safe and attractive to restaurant patrons and pedestrians.

For the third season, the City of Bay City will continue to provide additional opportunities for outdoor dining with its Feet on the Street program. Feet on the Street is intended to allow customers to dine and drink outdoors in social districts utilizing the Sidewalk Café Ordinance. The sidewalk café regulations are designed to allow sidewalk cafés on public property in locations on the public sidewalk and on closed streets, within a common area.
