May 20th, 2025, Flint, MI—Back to the Bricks®, the cherished automotive celebration that brings car enthusiasts together year after year, is thrilled to announce the addition of our first-ever intern, Adrienne Kopicko. This step marks a new chapter for the organization, emphasizing our commitment to nurturing future talents in the automotive community.
Amber Taylor, President of Back to the Bricks, expressed her enthusiasm about this new initiative: “It’s been my hope that we could bring on an intern. Last year, I emphasized how much work occurs behind the scenes during the summer, leading the Board of Directors to a unanimous vote to adjust our bylaws, making Back to the Bricks a staff-run organization. In my new role as president, I am excited to coach, train, and develop interns like Adrienne in the future. The wheels of progress are turning, and I look forward to learning alongside her this summer.”
Back to the Bricks® has continually evolved, expanding unique opportunities for car enthusiasts to gather, celebrate automotive heritage, and create lasting memories. The introduction of internships will provide valuable insights from a youthful perspective, helping identify areas for improvement and growth within the organization.
Adrienne, an enthusiastic car lover, is eager to dive deeper into the world of classic automobiles. Currently working at the Fireplace in Fenton, she has already forged connections with several car clubs. Her first experience at Back to the Bricks® came during the 5th Annual Dust ’em Off Car Show, where her enthusiasm and dedication stood out. “I wondered if it might be overwhelming for a first official day, but she truly shined! Adrienne tackled every task, and her infectious smile was a hit with everyone,” said President Taylor. “I am confident she will thrive in her role this year.”
“I am very fortunate to have this opportunity to learn from Amber over the summer. There are so many wonderful people in this organization; I look forward to working with them while I expand my marketing skills. Thank you, Back to the Bricks® team!” said Kopicko.
As a senior at the University of Michigan – Flint Campus, studying business and marketing, Kopicko is ready to embrace this internship opportunity while also enjoying the camaraderie of the automotive community.
