Kalamazoo, MI, December 18, 2025 – Looking for a reason to get out of the house and make the most of winter break? The Air Zoo Aerospace & Science Center invites families to experience Winter Break Family Fun Days, featuring hands-on activities, interactive experiences, and special programming for all ages. Admission includes access to awe-inspiring exhibits, unlimited indoor amusement rides, and full-motion flight simulators. Plus, parking is always free.
Families can also explore the Air Zoo’s newest traveling exhibit, Hall of Heroes, a high-energy, limited-time experience that combines legendary heroes, iconic artifacts, and the real science behind extraordinary abilities. Featuring larger-than-life displays and interactive games that challenge guests to test their own superpower skills, Hall of Heroes invites guests of all ages to see how imagination, innovation, and heroism come together.
Winter Break Family Fun Events include four themed Family Fun Days, sponsored by Consumers Energy and Charles River Laboratories, along with the popular Countdown to Noon celebration on New Year’s Eve. All these experiences are designed to captivate the whole family and create memories that last a lifetime, highlighted by a festive midday balloon drop families can enjoy together.

Countdown to Noon Celebration
As part of the Winter Break events, the Air Zoo’s Countdown to Noon offers families a fun and festive way to celebrate the New Year early. Join the celebration on New Year’s Eve, December 31, from 10am-2pm, when thousands of balloons rain down during an exciting noon balloon drop, paired with party activities designed for all ages.
