Action Alert: Urge Congress to Pass More PPP Funding

Small Business Association of Michigan

Take Action Now

As many of you may already know, the United States government recently approved the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP). The PPP provides small businesses in Michigan COVID-19 relief, giving funds to pay up to 8 weeks of payroll costs including benefits, as well as to pay interest on morgages, rent, and utilities.

In just under two weeks, the PPP has provided an economic lifeline to over one million small businesses across the country and has allowed these small businesses to remain viable – and maintain their workforces – during the COVID-19 pandemic. Unfortunately, as of April 16, the PPP Funds allocated were exhausted. In Michigan, over 25,000 loans were approved with excess of $8.5 billion in approved dollars. Reach out to your member of Congress today to urge them to support the expansion of this critical program!
