Chris Holman welcomes Troy Michigan Mayor, Dane Slater. Mayor Slater describes his fairly unique path to that role of leadership. He served 35 years in the police department, then retired as a captain. Upon deciding to give back to his community he ran for city council in 2009 and then was appointed mayor, a role which he has since been reelected to. Mayor Slater discusses the golden corridor of Big Beaver Road and the rest of the business community of Troy, Michigan. He then goes into how the city keeps business top of mind and how they cooperate with the Troy Chamber of Commerce.
