MASON, Mich., March 25, 2025 – Dart Bank marked a significant milestone on Friday, March 21, celebrating its 100th anniversary with a special tribute event at its Mason headquarters.
Employees, community leaders, and banking partners gathered to reflect on the bank’s century-long legacy and its continued impact on the people and businesses it serves.Dart Bank President and CEO Bill Hufnagel was joined by Michigan State Representative Julie Brixie (D-Meridian Twp.) and Nick Gerwitz, District Director from the Office of Senator Sarah Anthony (D-Lansing), who each spoke about the bank’s deep-rooted connection to its communities. Representative Brixie also presented an official tribute recognizing Dart Bank’s 100 years of service to Michigan families and businesses.

The event also welcomed representatives from the Michigan Bankers Association and Community Bankers of Michigan, as well as Mason Police Chief Matt Shutes. Attendees reflected on Dart Bank’s long history of innovation, from being the first U.S. bank to finance automobile purchases in the 1930s to pioneering banking solutions for cannabis and hemp businesses in Michigan.
