LANSING, Mich. – The Michigan Department of Lifelong Education, Advancement, and Potential (MiLEAP) Child Care Licensing Bureau (CCLB) has summarily suspended the child care center license of Antioch Church Of God In Christ, located at 16827 Appoline in Detroit. This action resulted from a recent complaint investigation of the childcare center.
Effective 6 p.m., on January 29, 2025, the summary suspension order prohibits Antioch Church Of God In Christ from operating a child care center at the aforementioned address, or at any other address or location. Accordingly, Antioch Church Of God In Christ may not accept children for care after that date and time. The order also requires the licensee to inform all parents of children in its care that the license has been suspended and that it can no longer provide child care.
It was critical to take emergency action to protect the health, welfare and safety of the children at this child care center.
