Next Creative Co. and AUXILIARY join forces, combining teams and strengthening capabilities
(HOLLAND and GRAND RAPIDS, MI) – On December 1, 2020, Holland-based creative agency Next Creative Co. officially merged with Grand Rapids-based agency AUXILIARY to become a bi-city creative powerhouse under the Next Creative Co. name.
Born in 2017 out of West Michigan creative duo Rich Evenhouse and Tim Hackney’s desire to create a more nimble and strategic agency, Next Creative Co. started as four creatives working in a Holland hotel lobby and has grown quickly since then-now employing 18 team members post-merger. Next’s success is due to the pair’s leadership and their combined 45 years of experience in copywriting, digital design, videography, web development, creative strategy, and more. The agency has worked with clients such as Saginaw Valley State University, Holland Hospital, Yanfeng, and others.
AUXILIARY was founded in 2005 by Kendall College grad Tom Crimp as a one-man creative shop and has evolved over the past decade and a half. With more than 30 years of design, writing, and business development experience, Crimp helped transform AUX into an agency known for its agile work processes and long-standing and collaborative relationships with clients such as Brunswick Bowling, Gordon Food Services, New Holland Brewing, and more.
This transition provides an opportunity for collaboration between Next’s Evenhouse and Hackney and AUXILIARY’s Crimp-as well as both agencies’ teams of writers, designers, videographers, project managers, and creative strategists.
With offices in Holland and Grand Rapids, both agencies see this merger as an opportunity to expand creative capabilities, elevate the quality of work, and serve a wider range of clients. Utilizing the unique expertise of each agency, the new Next Creative Co. will offer stronger, more effective creative solutions for brands and businesses throughout West Michigan and beyond.
