One of the favorite things we’ve been doing in our newsletters is highlighting one of our staff members. We take pride in the great work that they do and we like to take a moment each month to share a little bit about them.
 
For February we’d like to recognize Jenifer Parr. Currently, she works under the 504 Funding Team as a Funding Coordinator. Before MCDC, Jenifer enjoyed many years working in the financial industry.
 
 
What is the most important thing you have learned in the last five years?
“Live for today, tomorrow is not promised, love what you do!” The popular saying “now or never” has been in the front of my mind now more than ever. Tomorrow is not promised, and the last five years have taught me to cherish every moment.
 
How do you define success?
I believe success is determined by the time spent with the ones you love. More and more I measure my success in life by how many people I love to spend my time with. You can’t buy love with expensive toys and gadgets. Quality time spent with family, partners and friends is in some way more important, special, productive and profitable to everyone involved. 
 
You’re happiest when?
When I’m spending time with my family. The lock down last year seemed endless because we weren’t able to see everyone when we wanted. I think the pandemic has made me appreciate moments of spending time with my entire family with a new level of gratitude.
