Drinkmate Announces Strong Sales Growth in 2021 Despite Supply Chain Issues 

Strengthens Category Position with Product Introductions, Strategic Partnerships, and International Expansion

Ann Arbor, MI – Drinkmate, a leader in the home carbonation category, today announced that the company achieved strong double-digit sales growth over 2020 despite global supply chain issues. Sales team expansion efforts, product introductions, strategic partnerships, and doubling CO2 cylinder refill capacity fueled the year-over-year growth.  

Throughout 2021, Drinkmate expanded the brand’s national presence with the addition of new sales teams across the country in key territories. Internationally, Drinkmate expanded into Canada, the United Kingdom, and China.  

In July, Drinkmate introduced their new Arctic Blue countertop model that features a soft, breezy bay blue with a twilight blue undertone, and joined the existing color line that includes black, red, and white models. Drinkmate’s countertop unit is one of the leading home carbonation systems and its proprietary technology allows consumers to carbonate any kind of beverage safely and quickly. Drinkmate also introduced a line of premium Italian Syrups providing carbonated beverage lovers the ability to expand their flavor options while enjoying healthy and delicious carbonated water and cocktails.   

Strategic partnerships were a priority for Drinkmate in 2021, with the successful completion of promotions with Johnny Walker in the 2021 World Class Global Bartender Finals, and with The Coca-Cola Company North America Operating Unit for a joint promotion with smartwater®.

Due to increasing CO2 cylinder refill demand, Drinkmate is currently working to double the capacity for refills. This expansion is managed locally in Ann Arbor, MI to ensure the highest level of customer service and quality control.
