A big event, like the 2015 Mackinac Policy Conference, doesn’t happen without a great facility to host it, and a staff to coordinate it with the hosts. Here Chris speaks with The Grand Hotel of Mackinac Island’s Executive Vice President, Ken Hayward. He discusses his four years in that position and nearly 30 years with the hotel.
They then talk about what it takes to host this conference, with their staff who are multinational in heritage. Mr. Hayward covers some of the aspects of the facility, and how they are quite busy after this conference, up through October’s seasonal closing.
