Jeffrey sits down with Tim Daman, President and CEO of the Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce, to discuss several topics that have been top of mind for the Chamber during June.
They discuss a letter the Chamber sent to the Ingham County Board of Commissioners, raising concerns over $3.2 million raised by a millage renewal that was approved by voters for the Ingham Health Plan. Daman explains how they, along with the Greater Lansing Convention and Visitors Bureau, testified in the Michigan House Tourism and Outdoor Recreation Committee recently about the importance of the tourism industry sector. They review the chamber’s Leadership Lansing Program, and encourage enrollment in the project. And finally, Tim commends six local units of government in Mid-Michigan for joining together in the formation of the Greater Lansing Taxi Authority.
