Eva L. Feldman, M.D., Ph.D., was recently honored with the Chuck Newman Impact Award, from the Michigan Israel Business Bridge. She gives a brief description of her work. She seeks to understand ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease) and creating stem cell that can assist with ALS, and she shares about how it got started in Israel. She speaks on the advance of research due to the passage of Proposal Two in November of 2008.
In 2009, they created the first of stem cell lines here in Michigan. Michigan laboratories have been terrific in helping grow the industry. Dr. Feldman shares how she got involved and her passion for the industry. She is currently in discussions with the FDA for registration trial, which is the last trial needed before a drug can come into the market place.
