Following Automation Alley’s recent announcement of the creation of the Personal Protective Equipment Resilience Grant Program, in partnership with Oakland and Macomb Counties, we understand that our regional manufacturers have questions. Does your company qualify for a portion of the $12 million in grant funding to purchase Industry 4.0 and state-of-the art digital technologies? How do you apply? And what is included with this opportunity to rapidly reshape and accelerate the digital transformation of our manufacturing sector?
|
We created this grant program to address the urgent need to move companies into digital manufacturing as fast as possible to help position our region as an agile, digital-ready essential source of manufactured goods like PPE in times of national crisis while improving our response to future disruptions. In collaboration with county leadership, we are setting up two virtual info sessions to help Oakland and Macomb manufacturers better understand the program and to get all of your important questions answered. Oakland County manufacturers are invited to attend a virtual info session on Aug. 12. A separate info session will also be held for Macomb County manufacturers on Aug. 26. It is Automation Alley’s distinct privilege to be entrusted with a grant of this magnitude for the express purpose of further mobilizing our region with Industry 4.0 technologies in preparation for future disruptions, and we want to ensure our regional manufacturers have all the necessary information to begin this important journey with us. |
