Last Call for BMCC 2027 Sessions: Your Experience Matters. Put It on the Agenda.

The best conference conversations start with people willing to share what they’ve learned. Whether you’ve launched a new program, tackled a tough housing challenge or found a better way to get things done, there’s something others in the field can learn from your experience.

The 2027 Building Michigan Communities Conference (BMCC) returns to the Lansing Center May 11–12, bringing together more than 1,200 professionals from across Michigan’s housing ecosystem. We’re looking for people with fresh perspectives, practical experience and ideas worth sharing to help make this year’s conference a valuable one.

What have you learned that could help someone else?

We’re seeking 60-minute session proposals that go beyond the basics and give attendees something they can take back to their organizations and communities. Share a success, unpack a challenge, explore a new approach or bring people together for a conversation the field needs to have.

Sessions can take many forms, including presentations, panels, interactive discussions and case studies. Whether you’re a seasoned housing professional or bringing a fresh perspective to the work, we want to hear from you.

Five topical tracks. Plenty of opportunities to contribute.

  • Asset Management
  • Community & Economic Development
  • Homeownership Finance & Development
  • Preventing & Ending Homelessness
  • Rental Finance & Development

The deadline is Friday, October 16.

Don’t assume someone else will share the idea, experience or perspective you have to offer. Help shape the conversations that will bring Michigan’s housing community together.
