BENTON HARBOR, Mich.- Job seekers will have two opportunities in October to connect directly with employers as Michigan Works! hosts hiring events featuring local employers looking to fill open positions.
The first hiring event will take place Thursday, October 22, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Paw Paw Michigan Works! Service Center, located at 32849 E. Red Arrow Hwy., #100, Paw Paw, MI 49079.
The second event will be held Wednesday, October 28, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Cass County Administration Building, 120 N. Broadway, 2nd Floor Board Room, Cassopolis, MI 49031.
Employers from a variety of industries will be on hand to meet with job seekers about current openings. Resource providers will also attend to connect individuals with education, training, and support services.
The most recent hiring event hosted by Michigan Works! brought together 20 employers, 6 resource providers and 130 job seekers, resulting in on-the-spot interviews and filled positions.
Job seekers are encouraged to arrive prepared for interviews with an updated resume. Attendees can pre-register for one or both events and view the growing list of participating employers at miworks.org/events.
