The Chamber and over 500 coalition partners recently sent a letter of support to Congress for the U.S.-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA) to safeguard the 13 million American jobs that depend on stable trade with Canada and Mexico.

Why it matters: This agreement is critical for preserving tariff-free market access and ensuring U.S. businesses remain competitive in the top two export markets.

The Chamber, alongside other business organizations, sent a letter to the Michigan House of Representatives to encourage codifying the Michigan Achievement Scholarship into statute, which would ensure a reliable framework with consistent accountability.

Why it matters: Michigan’s prosperity depends on the skills of its workforce. Codifying this scholarship will reduce financial barriers to education and help build a robust talent infrastructure.

This evening, the Chamber’s Vice President of Public Policy and Business Advocacy, Brain J. Shoaf, is set to testify before the Michigan Public Service Commission in support of DTE contracts related to a historic hyperscale data center in Saline Township.
