Mid Michigan College is preparing students for high-demand careers through focused academic programs for the Winter 2026 semester. Key highlights include Advanced Integrated Manufacturing (AIM), Engineering, Agriculture, Medical Assistant (MA), and Computer Information Systems (CIS).

Advanced Integrated Manufacturing

Mid’s AIM Pathways prepare students to program, troubleshoot, and maintain specialized machines used in manufacturing industries such as automotive, medical, food processing, and plastics. Students can complete classroom hours for an apprenticeship, earn an industry-recognized certification, and pursue a training credential or degree on a flexible schedule. Robotics and automation skills learned in AIM help make production safer, more efficient, and environmentally sustainable.

Engineering

Mid offers multiple Engineering Pathways, including Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical, and Manufacturing Engineering Technology, as well as transfer-focused Mechanical Engineering. Students gain hands-on experience, industry-relevant skills, and knowledge that can lead to careers in research, manufacturing, telecommunications, and healthcare, or prepare them for transfer to four-year institutions as they pursue advanced degrees. Many programs offer partial online coursework for flexibility.

Agriculture

Mid’s Agriculture programs include associate degrees and training credentials in Agriculture Business, Farm Management & Operations, Crop & Soil Science, and Animal Science. Students gain practical experience through internships with local businesses and are prepared for careers on farms, in laboratories, or in agricultural management. Transfer-focused pathways allow students to continue their education at four-year colleges or universities.

Medical Assistant

Mid offers both an associate degree and a 10-month training credential in Medical Assisting. Students learn clinical and administrative skills to support healthcare professionals and are eligible to sit for the Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) exam, providing a nationally recognized credential.

IT Infrastructure & Cybersecurity

Launched in Fall 2023, Mid’s newest Computer Information Systems Pathway, IT Infrastructure & Cybersecurity, is fully online and prepares students to maintain IT systems and safeguard against cybersecurity threats. This pathway equips graduates for careers as network administrators, programmers, cybersecurity specialists, and other technology roles.

Winter 2026 semester courses begin Monday, January 12, 2026. Prospective students can apply online at midmich.edu/apply or contact Admissions at admissions@midmich.edu or (989) 386-6661. Current or returning students should contact their Mid Mentor at midmich.edu/mentors
