

Let’s Hear it for Creativity
Fall is upon us in Michigan, and it’s time for her to show off her beauty and colorful creativity. It’s also time for us to show off our amazingly creative FY2026 fall grantees. We are excited to share with you our area artists and arts organizations who recently received a total of $24,500 in funding for their outstanding grant submissions and projects.
Check out all of our Artists in the Community, Young Creatives, and Chris Clark Fellowship grantees who will be bringing forth lots of exciting creative endeavors in Greater Lansing. Shout out to our fantastic creatives and our amazing funders, PNC and MSU Federal Credit Union who help make these programs possible.

Meet the FY2026 Young Creative Grantees
The Young Creatives program provides dollars and scholarships to area member organizations providing youth arts programming. These grants are funded through the Arts Council’s endowment funds and Michigan State University Federal Credit Union.
Young Creatives Grant funding totaling $7,500 was awarded to the following recipients: All of Us Express Children’s Theatre, Ballet Maria Luz, Capital City Film Festival, Lansing Symphony Orchestra, MSU Community Music School, The Poetry Room, REACH Studio Art Center, and Red Cedar Writing Project

Meet the FY2026 Chris Clark Grantees
Our Chris Clark Fellowship grants support creative capacity building for individuals such as visual, literary and performing artists; arts administrators; arts educators; and arts students in Greater Lansing was established through a legacy gift from Lansing area native Chris Clark to the Arts Council of Greater Lansing. The goal of the program is to provide professional development opportunities and business resources.
Chris Clark Fellowship funding totaling $8,000 was awarded to the following recipients: Dawn Burns, Jimmy Coyer, Dorothy Engelman, Cait Schneider, Masaki Takahashi, Abbie Tykocki/Riverwalk Theatre, and Tabor Vits

Meet the FY2026 Artists in the Community Grantees
The Artists in the Community grants support member artists in creating community-driven placemaking projects that contribute to building a “sense of place” for residents, businesses and visitors. These are funded through the Arts Council’s Arts Advancement Endowment funds and through a PNC grant.
Artists in the Community funding totaling $9,000 was awarded to the following recipients: Matthew Bebermeyer, Rachel Miller, Masaki Takahashi, Tania Watt, and Brooke Williams
