Lansing, Mich. (Oct. 9, 2025) — The Lansing Economic Area Partnership (LEAP) has officially “turned it up to 11.” On October 8th, the 11th cohort of LEAP’s most successful entrepreneurial training program, One & All completed their intensive 2-month journey. The event also marked the 5th anniversary of the founding of the program making it LEAP’s longest-running entrepreneurial support initiative.
Nearly one hundred people attended the event which included a panel discussion from past participants including Snow Stars’s Ramon Vela (Cohort 10), Eva Christian of JEM Cleaning (Cohort 3), and Grassroots Giving’s Alexandra Bennett (Cohort 8).
One & All’s methodology has focused on solid business foundations that can be used to build successful and sustainable new ventures. Aspiring business owners from all walks of life are given tools to turn their ideas into reality—fueling local economies and building generational opportunity across the Lansing three-county region.
One of the critical aspects that sets the program apart is its continual engagement by mentors and coaches during the initial course dates and beyond. As program lead Jazmin Anderson, LEAP’s Director of Small Business and Equity Programs, explained, “As a graduate of One & All myself, it’s been incredible to be part of the LEAP team to help evolve the program for even greater impact. This cohort has made tremendous progress—growing their businesses, building connections, and finding the confidence to keep moving forward.”
Funded through LEAP’s TREK Small Business Support Hub via the Michigan Economic Development Corporation and with seed funding support championed by Senator Anthony and State Representative Witwer, One & All ensures participants graduate with a solid business plan, a growing network, and a $2,500 seed grant to help launch or expand their ventures. To date, $480,000 in grants have been provided to over 190 program graduates. Revenue generated by these ventures has totaled $4.7M with $1.1M in secured investments, resulting in 25 expansion events and 400 new products/services.
LEAP’s President and CEO, Bob Trezise (left), emphasized the broader implications of the program.
“The success of LEAP’s small business development programs are leading the state and transforming Ingham, Eaton, and Clinton counties. According to our client survey from just this year, LEAP’s small business and entrepreneurial programs have added nearly 100 new company formations to our three-county economy, creating over 500 FTE jobs and more. Over 75 of these new companies are brick and mortar. One & All is just another shining example of LEAP’s small business success.”
Miranda Houston, founder of Holism Haus, launched her business to create a holistic trauma recovery to help the community heal and relieve stress. “I started off with LEAP One & All program. It helped me build my business plan and their mentors have helped me pivot my business, grow my business, and build and scale my business which has been really successful so far. Thank you, LEAP!”
As a primary funder of the One & All program, PNC’s support for regional entrepreneurship has been critical to the program’s success. Leslie Batchelor, PNC’s Vice President, Client and Community Relations Director said, “PNC is delighted to be a supporter of the One & All program. Programs that invest in the success of small business founders are critical to the vitality and growth of the Lansing Region. We are proud to be creating more opportunities for local entrepreneurs. Congratulations to all the graduates!”
The One & All program is made possible through strong community-minded businesses such as Consumers Energy. “We’re proud to support the One & All program, building viable new ventures and providing the resources for founders to succeed,” said Rebecca O’Connell, Consumers Energy’s community affairs manager. “Consumers Energy is committed to the communities we serve and to the small businesses that power our local economies.
