DETROIT, July 28, 2025 – As Bridge Michigan put it, “In A Michigan First, Independent Mike Duggan Leads Governor Fundraising,” the Duggan campaign raised $3.2 million in six months, more than any other candidate, Democrat or Republican.
Last Friday was the deadline for fundraising reports and the gubernatorial campaigns got their first public report cards.
The result was one party insiders never saw coming:
Mike Duggan’s campaign raised more money in Michigan than all the Democratic candidates combined, with 93% of all contributions coming from Michigan donors.
The message is clear: people who live in Michigan and have the most stake in the state’s future are demanding a change.
“Michiganders are not willing to fund politics as usual.
