Chris Holman welcomes Ed Duggan, Duggan for Governor Campaign Manager, Detroit, MI.
Watch as Ed Duggan shares how Mike Duggan’s bipartisan campaign, backed by Detroit Chamber PAC, could deliver economic stability for all of Michigan, in the YouTube video shared below:Chris had several questions for Ed Duggan, Mayor Duggan’s campaign manager during this conversation:
The State of the Race memo emphasizes broad bipartisan appeal. How do you see this unique positioning translating into economic certainty or opportunity for Michigan’s business community?
With lower name recognition outside Metro Detroit, what is the message to business leaders across the state who may be unfamiliar with Mayor Duggan’s track record? The campaign has earned support from major employers, unions, and law enforcement. In your opinion, what does that coalition say about how Mayor Duggan plans to lead on economic development and workforce issues?
Detroit’s transformation under Mayor Duggan’s leadership is often cited. What are specific lessons from that turnaround that Mayor Duggan would apply statewide as governor?
Given Michigan’s polarized political climate, how would an Independent governor help reduce gridlock on business-critical issues like tax reform, permitting, and infrastructure investment?
Additionally fresh news from the morning of recording, July 17th, was that Mayor Duggan had picked up the endorsement of the Detroit Regional Chamber’s PAC. Tell us about that?
