Jeffrey is sitting in for Chris Holman at the Lansing Center, for the 3rd Annual Youth Startup Challenge, put on by LEAP (Lansing Economic Area Partnership) and partnering with 5 Minute Tops. Jeffrey starts off a series of interviews with Lucas Schrauben, who is an educator at Eaton, works with students in 5 Minute Tops, and his role today is to help promote and connect the Youth Startup Challenge and 5 Minutes Tops youth entrepreneur programs.
Jeffrey then spends time walking around booths, providing spotlight interviews with students who are representing their projects and businesses, including Unleased, Sarah Bella Salon, Project Sock Clips, Simple Stones and Compost Logic.
Jeffrey takes time to interview Robert Trezise, President and CEO of LEAP. Robert discusses the importance of developing an entrepreneurial spirit in the youth, as they are Michigan’s future. There are many sponsors involved in this event, and it is an exciting day for all participating.
