Taylor Kelsaw and Michael McCallum welcomes program Director, Katrina Daniels From MICA along with Jeff Shoup to discuss the 22nd Annual Lansing Jazz Fest coming to Old Town Lansing on August 5th and 6th. This year the festival features a diverse range of talented musicians from all over the state and neighboring states. Daniels shares the passion behind the event, and all the great venue stages, food, and activities that will be on hand through both days.
Jeff Shoup is excited to announce that this years festival will include some old time traditional jazz music along with some newer fusion styles. He continues to talk about how he plans out the guests lineup and acts to appear: From The Lowdown Brass Band from Chicago to the “Satin Sounds” of local legend vocalist Miss Betty Baxter.
