The Detroit Regional Chamber of Commerce’s 2015 Mackinac Policy Conference took place at the Grand Hotel, on Mackinac Island. Mark Davidoff, Michigan Managing Partner of Deloitte LLP, Chair, of this year’s MPC delivers Opening Remarks, setting up the theme of this year’s Conference Pillars, “Talent, Urban Revitalization and Cohesion.”
Mark goes on to introduce Rick Snyder, Governor of the State of Michigan, who finishes up the welcome on Wednesday afternoon, May 27. Over the course of these segments, we hear the Governor Rick Snyder’s remarks from that opening session covering where Michigan has been over the year, and the Governor highlights where he believes Michigan is going in the future. The last segment transitions over to a press conference that was held a couple of hours later, which was led off by Stephanie Comai, Director of Talent Investment Agency, for the State of Michigan. She covers the talent gap issue, and then introduces Governor Snyder, who begins specifically addressing this issue.
