2015 Pure Michigan Global Summit
The State of Michigan and the Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) are launching a new initiative to attract global businesses and buying activity to Michigan. The Global Business Summit will bring business and government together to create opportunities for Michigan companies to establish new business connections in the India market and drive increased Indian foreign direct investment into Michigan’s automotive and manufacturing industries.
To ensure that businesses realize maximum value, applications will be carefully reviewed to ensure that companies meet the needs of participating Indian companies. We are seeking Michigan firms supplying the following products and services: vehicle & component design services, engineering services, low-volume & custom component manufacturing, vehicle teardown/costing/benchmarking, manufacturing process technologies, and refurbished manufacturing equipment. While there is no fee to participate, companies will be responsible for their own travel and accommodation costs, estimated at US$3,000. Businesses will also be screened for eligibility to receive financial support through MI-STEP (the State Trade Export Program). The India/Michigan Global Business Summit will be held October 5 or 6, 2015 in Mumbai, India.
