A very prestigious honor was recently announced for Martin Stark, Chairman of Williamston, Michigan-based Bekum America. Mr. Stark will join a select group of individuals when he is inducted into the Plastics Hall of fame on May 6, 2018 in ceremonies to be held in Orlando, Florida. Martin Stark has devoted more than 48 years of his professional career to the growth and internationalization of the plastics industry. Examples of Martin’s countless contributions to the development of the plastics industry over the past five decades include his dedication to the Plastics Industry Association (formerly Society of Plastics Industry), efforts to promote the manufacture of blow molding machinery in the United States, and development of educational tools such as “open houses”, the “PlastiVan” Program, and college stipend programs to help students interested in studying engineering, manufacturing or plastics.
