Jeffrey catches up with Maureen Miller Brosnan, Executive Director, Michigan Venture Capital Association, Ann Arbor, MI, while she was in Lansing for a busy day. The state legislature had adopted a piece of legislation that designated April 17th through the 23rd Michigan Venture Capital and Angel Investment Week in Michigan. She had been sharing the annual MVCA research report and the role venture capital plays in the entrepreneurial and business communities.
They also looked ahead to the event Tuesday April 19th which was a release event and panel discussion. Maureen shares a few of the highlights from that report. Including that for every dollar invested in start-ups an additional $4.31 is coming in from outside of the state. They also touch upon which sectors of the economy are greatly impacted by venture capital. Here is that report for 2016!
