The European Union has been headquartered (European Parliament) in Brussels, Belgium, since 1985 (and formally since 1992). For EU related and presumably many other reasons, terrorist factions have created an infrastructure in Brussels; which is causing clashes with the natives of the city and country.
Brussels and Belgium have a very sophisticated developed-nation economy, rich heritage, superb sight-seeing opportunities and so much more. In this segment, Tomas Hult is interviewing Antoinette Tessmer, Professor of Practice in the Eli Broad College of Business at Michigan State University and a native of Belgium. They discuss pockets of terrorism in Brussels, the unique city (and country) and why people visit, and how the Belgian people view the European Union and its hub location in Brussels.
